Located on the corner of Albert and Ann Street, Brisbane. The easiest street address for your GPS is 140 Ann Street. We are opposite Brisbane City Hall and King George Square.
The easiest way to get to our church is by public transport. We are located right next door to the King George Bus Station, and three minutes walk from the Central Train Station. You can plan your journey using Translink.
We believe that God is more interested in what's in your heart than what you're wearing, so we're pretty relaxed at Albert Street Uniting Church. You'll see a wide variety of clothing, from those who like to dress up to those who prefer jeans. Choose something comfortable and come and see us.
An access ramp is located on the Suncorp Plaza side of the church, with access from both Ann Street and Albert Street, allowing easy entry to the building without the use of stairs.
Yes! All of our Sunday worship services are livestreamed to our YouTube channel.

Our 9am Sunday worship is a traditional, but family friendly service which includes Sunday School and fellowship morning tea afterwards. For a more detailed overview of what to expect from a worship service and our beliefs, please visit the Uniting Church Queensland's "What to expect in church" page.

Two special parts of the service that may need further explanation are:

  • Holy communion

Holy communion is celebrated mostly on the first Sunday of the month. This is a special ritual or sacrament, remembering the last supper Jesus shared with his disciples before he died. A small portion of bread and grape juice are taken as part of the ritual. Gluten free bread is also available. In doing so, we also remember Jesus' promise that he is always with us. We practice what is called an open table. This means that all are invited to participate, and it is up to each individual how they respond. If you prefer to watch this part of the service, that is fine.

  • Offerings

Offerings to the church are received during our services. It is up to you whether you choose to give any money to the church to help it pay for those every day things like electricity, water and telephones as well as mission activities such as Community Meal, pastoral care and other related community support activities.

When it's your first visit, we know you'll probably prefer to observe and get your bearings in a new place. At some point, our staff would love to meet you and get to know you.

If you would like someone to contact you, you can give us a call on 07 3071 3060 or talk to one of our ushers on Sunday.
